Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor

Functional movement and cancer exercise specialist

My love of Pilates began with my first class and has grown into becoming a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor. I was looking for a way to strengthen my body and what I found with Pilates is the ability to strengthen with control while gaining flexibility. I had NO idea a body could move in such a way. In January 2013 when offered the chance to help others I quickly jumped at the opportunity and started my training to become a Pilates Instructor. In March 2014, I passed my practical exam and was awarded my Comprehensive certificate. In July 2019 I passed my National Certification to become a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. In October of 2019, I completed a course to work with Cancer Patients. After losing my mother at a young age, as well as other family members, to cancer, I have always had a special place in my heart to help those who have battled the disease. When I decided to take the training I had NO idea just how under-cared for those battling the disease really are. The studies and science now show that movement can help with the recovery, especially during Chemo treatments and yet insurance is not covering PT. I just can't imagine being cut open put back together and sent home with NO instructions on how to recover my body. I now have a mission to help those who have had surgeries and need help recovering their bodies.

Post-rehab found me while I was working as an apprentice. I was given clients who needed help learning how to walk and live life without pain. Through Pilates, I was able to help them do just that. There is no better feeling than watching a client walk without pain, no longer having the fear of falling because their balance is off, or going up and downstairs with no knee trouble.

In addition to my comprehensive certification, I also bring with me certificates of training in BioCored, Bodhi, Arcus, Anatomy in 3D, Yoga Fit, Neuro Movement, Cancer Exercise Specialist, and Osteoporosis. While I am not a golfer, I have attended courses on how to help improve swings and what to look for in posture, a few golf clients have reported straighter longer shots with little to no back pain.

Let me help you recover from a surgery maybe gain a straighter golf swing or just live life without the shoulder or back pain from your job. I got you covered… And if you are just looking for a kick A** class, I got that covered too…. So what can I help you achieve today?
